These terms cover your use of Cultural Home. We've tried to write them so you can actually read them.
Who we are
Cultural Home is operated by Jasmine Ballard, Charlotte, North Carolina.
What you're buying
Founding access to Cultural Home from your move-in date through December 31, 2027. That includes every room and feature available during that term, for your household and the relatives you invite.
Price
The first ten households pay $180 for the term. After the tenth, access is $240 for the same term. The Family Interview is $1,200 and includes founding household access through the same date.
This is not a lifetime rate. Before the term ends, we will send you the public subscription options and you decide whether to continue. If you do nothing, your access ends and your archive remains exportable for at least 90 days.
Your content stays yours
Everything your family adds — photographs, recordings, documents, writing — belongs to you. You grant us only the permission needed to store it, display it to the people you've invited, and back it up. We claim no ownership and no right to publish it.
The product is still being built
Cultural Home opens to founding families in November 2026 and to the public on January 1, 2027. Features will change during the founding term. What will not change: material you add will not be broken, deleted, or made unreadable, and export is available from day one.
How you agree to use it
Don't upload anything unlawful, don't upload material you have no right to share, don't attempt to access another household's archive, and don't use Cultural Home to harass anyone.
Refunds
The Founding Household. Full refund for any reason within 30 days of payment. After 30 days, a full refund if we fail to open your home by the date we promised.
The Family Interview. Full refund up to 14 days before your scheduled interview. Inside 14 days, we'll reschedule once at no cost. Once the interview has been recorded, the fee covers work already done and is not refundable — but the household portion is still covered by the 30-day terms above.
How long it takes. Refunds are returned to your original payment method within 7–10 business days of approval.
How to ask. Email privacy@myculturalhome.com. No form, no retention offer, no conversation you have to sit through.
Ending it
You can close your account at any time — see the refund policy above for what that means financially. We may suspend an account that violates these terms, and we'll tell you why and give you a chance to export first, unless doing so would be unlawful.
If Cultural Home ends
If we ever have to shut down, we will give at least 90 days' notice and keep export available for the whole of that period.
Liability
Cultural Home is provided as-is. We work hard to keep your archive safe and we back it up, but we are a small operation and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable. Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us.
